Leno is a series of ongoing experiments with the technique of Leno weaving. The textile pieces play upon the simple notions of a grid, the building block of weaving, to navigate contrasts of transparency and opaqueness in both material and structure. With lines moving across close and wide spaces, the dense heaviness of the wool tightly woven and the light airiness of the golden thread co-exist in the light and with one another.
